Thank you Veggie Mom!

Much thanks to Veggie Mom for such a lovely award. (You know Veggie Mom is a great Packers fan. She even lives back there and sometimes she and her family get to go to the games. I am totally green with envy. Did you see that 99 yard pass interception that ended with a touchdown last Sunday?? No, OK.)

Well on with this award. I would also like to thank Melissa B. who created this award and then gave it to Veggie Mom who passed onto me. Melissa is at the scholastic scribe and is one of my favorite bloggy reads. This was the award she made for her 200th post.

Now I must pass this on to five other bloggers who deserve to be recognized for their writing efforts: Here are The Rules, as stipulated by the Award's Creator:

Each Superior Scribbler must in turn pass The Award on to 5 most-deserving Bloggy Friends.
Each Superior Scribbler must link to the author & the name of the blog from whom he/she has received The Award.
Each Superior Scribbler must display The Award on his/her blog, and link to
This Post, which explains The Award.
Each Blogger who wins The Superior Scribbler Award must visit
This Post and add his/her name to the Mr. Linky List. That way, we'll be able to keep up-to-date on everyone who receives This Prestigious Honor!
Each Superior Scribbler must post these rules on his/her blog.

This is the hard part. So many Blogs that I love to read. Filled with laughter, tears, inspiration and they always making me happy.

1-Tara at Mucho Matagi. I know I mention Tara a bit but I just love to read her blog. The things she blogs about keep me entertained for hours.
2-Emily at The Krazy Keston’s. Emily moved into my neighborhood and I swear she was 12 years old and already married. (She wasn’t really, she just looked so young!) Somewhere over time she became the mother of four children and has adventures that never end.
3-Liz at Livin’ The Dream. I have given Liz a blog award before and she said she was surprised. I don’t know why. Her blog is so entertaining. Her last one about Belle (her daughter) running off with a crotchety old man (her son) had my hubby and I laughing all night!
4-Tracy at The Journey. This is one of those feel good blogs. Tracy is so sweet she shares so many inspirational thoughts on her blog I really look forward to being there all the time.
5-And finally, Lynn, the Piggy Bank Painter. Now I have spent HOURS nagging Lynn to take it easy and get a nap in with all her work. And she works HARD. She finally listened to me but she was sick. Does that count? She is creative and ever so funny. She also makes a mean piggy bank!

There you are. Thanks again to Veggie Mom and GO PACKERS!!!

Tagged!!

As some of you may know I actually won a prize during the SITS blogathon. Didn't even know it until someone left me a comment and said Congratulations!! As a result of this prize I was also tagged with a meme from Texas Mom who also won a prize during the blogathon. She tagged all the winners. I have been such a blog slacker that it has taken me SOOOO long to get this done. But, since today is Friday and I have two seconds of free time I will finish this up!

So here are the rules are:

1. Link to the person that tagged you, and post the rules on your blog.

2. Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself.

3. Tag 7 random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs.

4. Let each person know that they've been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

So here we go. Seven Random Facts all about me!

1 – I have six night lights in my house. If you remember from my birthday post, I am scared of the dark and my hubby understands. He put all the night lights up before I moved in. My older sister lived with me for a time before I got married and said that my hallway looked like an airport landing strip because of the lights. I assure you she exaggerates most of the time. :)

2 – Every weekday morning I enjoy a lovely glass of Bold & Spicy Bloody Mary Mix. (without any alcohol) I got addicted to this on a flight from Denver to Salt Lake when I asked for a V8 and they only had this wonderful Bloody Mary Mix. I was hooked. (And yes I know it has lots of sodium and is really not good for me but the only other vice I have is Diet Coke.)

3 – I think it is most hilarious when people scream. At movies when people scream I laugh and always at the most inappropriate times. Plus I love to hide and scare people, then I laugh hysterically. I know there is something sadistic about this. Good times!

4 – I love pickle juice. But not any old pickle juice. It has to be from Hamburger Dill Chips. My new favorite is Vlasic Oval Cut Hamburger Dill Chips. The bottle at home is almost empty with very little juice because I drink it right out of the jar. I have a hankering for some right now.

5 – In rush hour traffic I start to freak out if I have to stop on an overpass. I always try to time it so I don’t have to be at a stop right on top of it. I am sure it is from seeing bridges collapse after California earthquakes and the bridge collapse in Minneapolis.

6 – I love to read True Crime books even though they scare me to death. Anne Rule is my favorite by far. I have read every Ted Bundy book I could get my hands on because he killed a girl I went to High School with and ruined the security of my teenage years. Also read every book about Mark Hoffman, the Mormon Bomber. I worked in downtown Salt Lake when all that happened. Very Scary!

7 – I cannot stand the smell of the meat department in grocery stores when they are cleaning for the night. I’m sure it’s the Clorox mixed with all that meat processing. Truly makes me sick. I have to cover my nose and almost run away as soon as I get a whiff. This all started with my first pregnancy and I never got over it.

So now victims to tag.....

1 - How about Tara at Mucho Matagi. Tara is so funny and I really want to know all those random things that she hides so well!
2 - Tonya living the dream in San Diego. OK, she works just like the rest of us but her adventures with her boys are hilarious. Plus I am sure she has some stuff we all need to know.
3 - Sherrie at Kaysville Momma. Sherrie is having a writers block so I thought I would help her out. I know she has done this before but really doesn't everyone have more than seven random things??
4 - My sweet step granddaughter Emily. Emily and her cute baby spent last weekend with us and she posted the cutest picture of us on her blog. Thanks Emily! Must know more about you.
5 - Adiel's little sister Steph. She is pregnant with her first baby, a little girl. I think I would like to know a little more about her, wouldn't the rest of you?

Sorry, that's it for my list. Two short, but I am sure we will learn some mighty interesting things! Enjoy!

Also, head on over to Rhea at Texas Word Tangle. She is having a giveaway that you don't want to miss out on! She is giving away a new Stir Fry Pan! Go on over and check her out!

And The Winner Is....

Veggie Mom awarded me the following lovely award. You all (or y'all as Lula says) need to travel over and pay her a visit. Plus she's got a link to Popr's which I have got to try! Thank you very much for this award!
As a recipient of this Bloggy Award, I'm required to do the following:

1. The winner can put the logo on his/her blog.
2. Link to the person you received your award from.
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs for the award.
4. Put links to those blogs on yours.
5. Leave a message on the blogs of the people you have nominated.

So as requested I would like to bequeath this Brillante Award to:

1- Tara & Justin who are just too darn cute and have an entertaining blog over at Mucho Matagi. Plus Justin belongs to Carla and I have known him along time. He's getting up there in years!

2 - My cute little cousin Mandy who is living away from home in Texas with her cute hubby who is in the military and darling baby.

3 - And an award to Amy who lives over the mountain in Park City (or thereabouts...maybe Heber?) She is so talented...she may inspire me to quilt.

4 - Go visit the McEwens in Colorado. You will love the weather and the tale of Pam's life with boys and now a wedding.

There you go, four blogs that I love to read!! That I think are Brilliante and deserve a little recognition.
