Wordful Wednesday

After almost a month of rainy days, yesterday was beautiful and sunny and actually felt like summer. I decided I better inspect my attempts at gardening. I was pleased to see I have tomatoes on my veins.

I was also pleased that my Violas were still hanging in there. My older sister calls these little guys Monkey Faces because they look like little monkeys to her and I have always loved them. They only have a few weeks of life left in them which makes my hubby so happy. He happens to dislike my pretty little violas. It could be because they like to take over every spot of the garden. And that is why I love them. They grow fast and spread out and just make me happy.

Then I stumbled upon these things. They look like weeds but are supposed to be "wildflowers". We shall see.

That looks so nice! I've already managed to kill everything I planted :( LOL I should have known better than to try, I've never had a green thumb.

We planted wildflowers. So far they look like weeds. We've had two blooms I think.
Nice pics.

They DO look like monkey faces!!!

My garden is having a very strange year. It was such a cold spring, and nothing is blooming. The plants are healthy, but several have not bloomed, and the rabbits are eating the ones that do. My containers are nice now though.

We've had way too much rain here, too! But now we've gone more than a week w/o even a little shower, and I'm having to water again. Love those violas!

I do love wildflowers! Please let me know how your tomatoes turn out. We've had several successive tomato failures. Don't know exactly what the problem is...

Stopping by from SITS to say hello. We've been eating tomatoes from our garden this weekend and they taste so fabulous. I am finding myself wishing I had put more effort into flowers around the front of the house instead of only working in the veggie garden out back. Have a great week!
